The ODS aims at creating interest and awareness among citizens regarding oil affairs, protecting the oil industry, acknowledging citizens of the dangers that may arise from environmental pollutants and wasting natural resources; coordinating and cooperating with various ministries and relevant parties concerned with oil affairs; preparing for conducting forums, seminars, delivering lectures and publishing research; make the most of the expertise of oil sector members, activating their role in the community, acknowledging members of the community through the execution of awareness programs in the field of oil industry; holding of the annual meeting of the oil sector forum, and the issuance of a periodical specialized in oil development field.
Our History
The idea had arise during the year 2012 when Mr. Riyadh Al-Saleh and Mr. Fadel Al-Ali called for an annual gathering that brings together retired and current members of the Oil Sector in order to continue communication, interdependence and cooperation between generations of the Oil Sector in the past, present and future, so the first meeting was held in Salwa Hall in December 2012, Then it became an annual habit where the forum meets once a year during the month of November of each year and during these meetings and through theses and proposals of attendance, the idea of establishing the Oil Development Society with its noble goals.

We aspire to consolidate the bonds of communication, love and cooperation between generations of the Oil Sector, whether retired or current, and highlight their role in the development of society, and maximize the role of experienced retirees by working to re-engage them in development plans by giving them a role in the development of the oil industry in particular and Kuwaiti society in general .
